Training Camp week 1
Hey y’all!! Week one of training camp is officially over! The first day I was dropped off with all my gear and set up my tent. I got to meet my whole squad which is a whopping 42 of us, and we all spent our first night of camping together in the woods. This week has been a roller coaster of ups and downs but the one thing that has remained constant is the Lord. He’s been showing me new things about himself everyday and I’m so blown away! This last week we’ve had multiple speakers and sessions of just listening to Gods word and it’s been so good to learn new things and really dive deep into who God really is, which has made me dive deeper into who I am. I’d been really struggling with just a lot of lies from the enemy about my identity (lies saying that I’m alone and that I wont make any friends while I’m here), but the Lord is so powerful and overcame all of these lies that made me feel out of place and I’ve stepped into a new identity with the Lord. As his child I get to draw closer to him everyday and as I do that with my whole squad, it feels like we’re all little children coming to rest at the Lords feet and it’s so beautiful. God is so good and he continues to blow my mind everyday and that effect will never go away because there will always be something that he is trying to say or share with us! I would also like to just say thank you to whoever is reading this! Thank you for all your support and I’m also so grateful for your prayer as well!
Here’s a list of prayer requests I would love prayer for as we go into week 2 of training camp!
- spiritual warfare – There has been a lot of physical injuries or at least health issues for our squad and there is something going on beyond our physical realm, so I would just love prayer for protection spiritually against the schemes of the enemy because satan has no power over anything and prayer for our health as well and that we don’t get sick.
- Unity in our squad – This is a big one because if we don’t have this and we aren’t loving each other well then we won’t be able to share Christ well together. So please be braying for unity in our teams, in our squads, and in the leadership.
- Acknowledging God as my Father – This is a big one for me personally because I realized as my mom dropped me off here at the AIM base, that I don’t know how to be alone with the Lord that well and truly rely on him as my father. Without having my parents all here to comfort me, of course I’ve missed them, but Ive been able to walk into a more intimate relationship with the Lord and truly take refuge in him as my Father. But I would love prayer to continuously rely on him in this way just as he would want me to, and to enter into his throne room boldly just as a child would.
A few praises!
-I have now reached 66% for fundraising so thank you Lord! And thank you to all who have supported me financially through this!
-I went to the dentist and thought I had a cavity or two but I did not so thank you Jesus!
Praying for all back home and for those who are far away!
Thank you for all your prayers and I can’t wait to share what else the Lord is doing over here and the different ways the Holy Spirit is moving in Gainesville Georgia!
-Abby 🙂
Stay tuned for week 2!
